Morgan Spurlock, the controversial filmmaker best known for his documentary “Super Size Me,” passed away from cancer at the young age of 53.
Spurlock’s influential 2004 film chronicled the health effects of consuming McDonalds fast food for 30-days. The film earned critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination.
Despite controversies surrounding his methods, Spurlock continued to produce documentaries addressing various issues impacting society.
